Exact staff verbal consent script
When offering text notifications in person or by telephone, staff reads the following script exactly:
“Be-YOU-Tiful Hair Studio offers optional text messages for appointment reminders, scheduling updates, birthday alerts, and Staff Dashboard notifications. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Your consent is not required to purchase services. You may reply STOP at any time to cancel or HELP for help. Would you like to receive these text messages? If yes, please text START to 708-722-8509.”
Only an affirmative response followed by the recipient texting START is treated as consent. Staff does not check a box or send START on a recipient’s behalf.
